    We will focus on:

    • Making a wordbank and a wallpaper.
    • The basic anatomic words.

    2 English lessons with the wallpaper and 1-2 lessons before working with the wallpaper to make sure the students are familiar with the basic words.

  2. In Sickness and Health. Vocational education programme: Health and social care

    Students choose a disease they want to present. Afterwards, they collect information, interview people ( e.g. patients, friends or family)

    Next, they make a short film or PowerPoint-presentation.

    During this activity students practise reading, speaking, writing as well as numerical and digital skills.

    Eventually, the final product is presented in class.

    Each person can self-evaluate himself/herself but it is possible to ask peers to evaluate each other too.

    The set of criteria for evaluation is provided in the file.

  3. Write a Report from your Work Placement

    The student should be able to write a report from her/his work placement this term.

    Læringsmål: Bruke relevante ord og uttrykk /fagterminologi innenfor fagengelsken

    • Kommunisere om arbeidet knyttet til arbeidsplassen.
    • Sosial kompetanse i samhandling med andre mennesker.
    • Vurdere og tolke ulike beregninger (matte) ifm med måltider (også drikke) tilpasset den enkelte bruker.
    • Forstå viktigheten av god psykisk og fysisk helse innenfor helsearbeiderfaget (kroppsøving).

  7. How the Norwegian Child-/Youthcare, Healthcare and Social Service Systems Function in Today’s Society

    Elevene skal utarbeide og produsere brosjyrer på engelsk som informerer om hvordan oppvekst-, helse-og sosialtjenesten fungerer i Norge i dag. Elevene skal først sette seg inn i hvordan de norske systemene fungerer og så kunne forklare dette til fremmedspråklige elever gjennom en brosjyre.

    Før de starter med arbeidet med brosjyren skal de jobbe i grupper med å tilegne seg forståelse av grunnlagsteksten og lære seg begreper de trenger for å kunne forklare hvordan det norske oppvekst-, helse- og sosialsystemet fungerer.

    Føraktivitet: diskutere temaet hvor elevene får finne ord som kan være aktuelle for prosjektet og det aktuelle temaet. F.eks: prevensjon, overgrep, seksuell trakassering, etikk, moral, grensesetting, debut.(de kan jobbe i par, grupper, rotasjon etc.) oppsummering på tavlen til slutt.
